For 2026!!

FLC is excited to welcome your family to a traditional summer camp experience, using the drop-in structure we enjoyed last summer, AND the SAME tuition as last summer! Because EVERYONE belongs in nature. Program runs 9am-4pm every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from June 22-August 21.

         MONDAYS

“Researchers on a New Land” An anthropological exploration of our new land, and the debris it contains, will provide clues about who has been using the land (both two-legged, winged and four-legged). We will analyze the found objects and make a Summer Museum Exhibit with our findings.

            WEDNESDAYS

Art Focus on Process Art! Process art is

an artistic movement and educational approach where the act of creation—gathering, sorting, experimenting, and experiencing—is prioritized over the final, finished product. It focuses on the joy of exploration, allowing artists to discover techniques and materials without the pressure of a specific, predetermined outcome

                FRIDAYS

Dig In!! Restoration and planting of the garden space on our new land. Let’s dig

in the dirt! We’ll be learning about plants

we caneat in our natural environment

and our planted environment, with a

focus on resilience. How do we plant for

long lasting food supplies, how do we

find or make clean water, how can we preserve food?

You can expect your child to learn:· Conservation Skills· Hiking Skills· Outdoor Art· Group Games· Leadership Skills

Our Summer Program Guides Zoe, Maryfaith and Critta all have the gifts of nature knowledge and the ability to connect with and inspire young people. They support children’s learning in nature by facilitating emergent, place-based explorations, modeling respect to all creatures, those we encounter, and each other. We mentor peacemaking and gratitude. Our Guides receive continuous peer to peer training in best practices in early childhood, self-directed education, and sociocracy, and each has first aid/CPR training. They are knowledgeable about neurodivergence, and will work with families to adapt the program structure to best support the individual child. There is no such thing as ‘not a good fit for our program’ because every child belongs in nature.
